What strikes me most is how carefully this story deconstructs the 'monster' narrative. Faith isn't redeemed because she's secretly good—she's redeemed because the man sent to destroy her actually *listens* to her, and that simple act of being heard becomes revolutionary in a world that made her into a symbol rather than a person. The fantasy elements serve the emotional core beautifully. The pacing in the final arc brought everything together with such precision. Genuinely one of the best serialized works I've followed to completion.
The way the author wrote Faith's internal monologue when she first realized the Inquisitor wasn't actually trying to kill her was absolutely devastating. That moment of confused hope breaking through centuries of despair hit different. I had to put my phone down.

honestly took way too long for the church conspiracy to fully unravel. like we all knew something wasnt adding up by chapter 8 but they dragged it out until chapter 17. still loved the romance though ngl
